Touch

i just keep thinking about how important this is....just touch...not sex not anything complicated just touch. its that feeling of being with someone....its love but almost beyond love its connecting on a level thats cellular....that makes you feel.....somethingthat touches you so deeply inside....something beautiful.

yes! And we have villanized touching in this country. We think ALL touch is sexual, and all touch is invasive, and ALL touch is wrong. How did we come to this?
How did ALL touch become invasive? Maybe because when we asked to be touched, no one was there. And then later, when we were touched when we didn't ask for it, we felt violation?
Touch is so so so important. Babies die when they aren't touched.

Touch is powerful spiritually because it makes us aware of boundaries. To be aware of our boundary is immediately to be aware that there is no boundary at all: Our physical & emotional centers are entirely available to others around us. Our bubble of self-protection is imaginary; at any time we can be either supported, or violently penetrated.

I can't be sure what country you mean, but there is a fear of touch where I've lived in this life, as well. I can understand it more as I consider that they don't know here how to establish sacred space. Touch is sacred, & is only safe when it's given a sacred space. It's something that needs a subtleness & a gentleness in order to survive.
